Ordnance Survey Website
On the Homepage of this Website in the enter place box, type in the name of a town. On the next page that appears in the search results: click on the location you require. This shows maps of the area of your choice.
Old Maps Website
On the Homepage in the "buy it now" box click on "start your search". In the next page that appears - in the search box, type in the name of a town and click GO. (The page that appears shows old town and village maps.)
AA Route Master
On the Homepage on the right of the screen you will see the words Route Planner. In the "from" box, type in the name of the town you are travelling from. In the "to" box, type in the name of the town you want to travel to. Click "Get Route" and on the next page that appears, you will be asked to confirm your route. Tick the box, which asks 'would you like map of route?', and click "Get Route". On the next page that appears, you can scroll the map found from the search, which is now showing the route of your journey.
